Job Description

Director, Internal Legal Collections – Operations is responsible for managing the operational performance of the Internal Legal Production team.  This role will provide leadership and oversight of the U.S. based Internal Legal and Bankruptcy Production teams comprised of 100+ team members and will define, develop, and implement operational strategies to achieve Legal Collections performance objectives.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a servicing strategy for Bankruptcy and Internal Legal.
  • Drive improvement in the overall service levels, transaction efficiencies and cost management.
  • Lead cross-site initiatives that drive bottom line results.
  • Leadership, Coaching and Management of direct reports and expanding the operating site culture.
  • Oversee daily productivity and work efforts towards the achievement of operational goals to ensure budgetary targets are met, managing P and L.
  • Work with analytics team to manage goals for the Lines of Business by determining new or improving current strategies.
  • Work with key leaders in the organization in the development of business plans and strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years’ experience managing large, complex operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, legal, or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to think independently and implement creative solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  • Demonstrated analytical capability and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master or advanced degree.
  • Experienced leadership of multi-site operations inclusive of global leadership and leading through influence.
  • Experience leading in an employee centric culture, with demonstrated success in balancing the competing needs of employee engagement and development, while achieving strong business results. 
  • Demonstrated learning agility and process innovation. 
  • Ability to make effective decisions and direct others in complex situations.
  • Experience with BI tools and advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Consulting (Internal or External) – with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems analytically.
