At LAAP (Latin America Asia Pacific), we serve India and key central and south American markets, helping consumers on their path toward a more positive financial future.

Through our work, we partner with third-party servicers to collect debt obligations. In Latin America, we own nonperforming loan portfolios in Colombia, Peru, Mexico and Brazil. In India, we operate through the Encore Asset Reconstruction Company (EARC), which is a joint venture between Encore Capital Group, International Finance Corporation (a member of the World Bank Group) and our shareholders, ADV Partners (a private equity firm focused in the Asian market). EARC is a greenfield operation that acquires and collects on secured, and small and medium enterprise debt. We’ve been successful in creating a strong industry presence in the Indian distressed debt market, and we’ve acquired and successfully resolved multiple portfolios from diverse sellers including public and private sector banks, non-banking financial company, housing finance companies and cooperative banks. Leveraging the strengths of our global parent company Encore, we’re working to establish a leadership position in retail non-performing assets and micro small and medium enterprises in India.
