Starting Compensation

Annual Salary: $54,000.00 - $86,399.00 (Amount based on office location, relevant experience, skills, and competencies)

About The Role

The Benefits & LOA Specialist assists with the execution and continuous improvement of the US Benefits/LOA processes and manages projects & programs. This role will assist by improving the employees’ experience and operational rigor and excellence throughout our Benefits/LOA processes. In addition, this role is responsible for assisting the coordination of employee leaves of absence, disability related accommodations, in alignment with our business core values. This role will work closely with our third-party leaves administrator and serve as a resource for both employees and managers' consultation and guidance within the complex arena of leaves and accommodations. We’re looking for someone who excels in employee experience, data management and is an astute problem solver.

  • Assists with the day-to-day operations of benefits/LOA programs such as health insurance, retirement plans, leaves administration, accommodations, and other employee benefits/wellbeing offerings.  
  • Serves as a point of contact for escalated employee questions or issues related to their benefits and LOA. Examples might involve explaining enrollment processes, connecting employees to the right vendor, reviewing internal data, connecting with our Workday team, and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Participates in the education, communication, and support of Total Rewards Programs through conducting benefits orientations and educating employees on the benefits self-enrollment system. Handles wellbeing campaigns, communications, or activities as assigned.  
  • Monitors data integrity of benefit and leave data and implements proactive audits to detect and correct errors in our systems and processes.  
  • Handles a variety of projects as assigned, recommending suggestions for innovation/improvement and handling the project though implementation, including communications and follow-up for project success.  

Required

  • Bachelor's               
  • Minimum of 2+ Years of benefit administration and/or leave of absence experience.
  • Knowledge of Workday HRIS system. Knowledge of 401(k) administration and benefits. Basic knowledge of state and federal leave-related regulations including FMLA, ADA, LOA wage replacement programs, ERISA, HIPPA and COBRA.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel. Experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPs, formulas highly preferred.
  • Ability to properly manage time, meet deadlines, communicate with employees and management, handle confidential information. Ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Detail oriented with strong research and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Workday, or similar HRIS reporting tools.

Preferred

  • Masters
  • 3-5+ Years of benefit administration and/or leave of absence experience.
