Starting Compensation

About the Job
The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for recording, classifying, and summarizing accounting data to ensure the accuracy of collections, postings, and receipts. This position may perform other accounting functions according to established processes and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Record and reconcile daily bank transactions.
- Prepare daily collections entries using excel templates.
- Prepare routine month end journal entries.
- Assist staff accountants with research including, but not limited to, unclaimed property, 1099, and credit card transactions as needed.
Required
- 1-2 years relevant experience (and/or in place of education).
- Proven experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and committed to results.
Preferred
- General knowledge of accounting practices.
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
