The Legal Specialist is responsible for assisting internal and external clients in managing daily operations. This includes the monitoring of automated and manual processes to ensure the proper handling of accounts, as well as the participation in projects / analysis as needed and provide and communicate performance, initiative, and / or process results. This position requires adherence to complex process requirements and directions.

About the Job

  • Process account level actions contributing to daily operations
  • Provide regular tracking and reporting on adherence to daily processes and / or financial performance
  • Collaborate with LCOE team and operations to identify and communicate gaps in current policies, procedures and processes
  • Challenge existing processes in order to increase efficiency and decrease cost
  • Manage relationships across the organization to ensure that current processes and procedures are implemented as defined
  • Identify shortfalls in process/system and participate in discussing solutions for enhancements
  • Participate in projects
  • Become Subject Matter Expert for processes and projects with low to moderate levels of complexity

Required

  • Collaboration, Problem solving, Critical Thinking and Relationship Management Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to understand low level logic
  • Familiarity with legal processes and/or the desire to learn and understand legal processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to manage variations in work type and workload
  • Big Picture thinking
  • Ability to work with people across all levels and areas of expertise
  • A 'Can Do', positive attitude and professional team player spirit
  • High School Diploma

Preferred

  • Associate/Bachelors
  • Legal/Financial/Corporate experience
