About the Job

The Vendor Manager supports the coordination of services by acting as the company liaison with vendors to ensure accuracy of product delivery, delivery of work orders, and delivery timeliness. This individual supports and maintains key relationships with vendors and internal partners and may support negotiations on behalf of the company for the best value of services which support operations and business objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Relationship Management: Handles relationships with external vendors ensuring continued service delivery and customer happiness. Provides support both externally and internally in order to secure products and services.
  • Problem Solving: Supports troubleshooting activities for vendor problems. Vets out issues such as delays in service, defective or unacceptable goods or services provided, delivery delays, etc. Supports problem resolution being achieved without compromising business relationships.
  • Expense Management: Maintains and reviews documentation including records of purchase items, costs, deliveries, and inventories. Supports evaluation of products and vendor performance by conducting analyses of records to discover if prices charged for products are reasonable and manageable.
  • Contract Management: Supports development of contract documents including statements of work and service level agreements. Supports evaluation and monitoring of contracts to ensure vendors align with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Other: Supports team initiatives and ad-hoc projects.

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 1-3 years experience handling vendor relationships.
  • Inventory management systems and/or other related computer databases.
  • Window, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload and contending demands.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry.
