Leadership Development Facilitator Job Description

The Leadership Development Facilitator is a key member of the Leadership Development team. This role is responsible for delivering training courses to enhance leadership effectiveness aligned with our company values and employee experience paradigm. This role is responsible for updating and enhancing existing course materials based on feedback from stakeholders. Additionally, this role will develop communications, manage training calendar, liaise with external vendors and execute Learning Management System processes.
Facilitation: Facilitates leadership development workshops, events, focus groups and other activities based on internally developed and external vendor content in either a physical classroom or virtual setting. Delivers leadership programs by blending teaching, facilitating, and coaching.
Leadership Development Content Creation and Management: Participates in needs analysis (desired objectives, skills, behavior changes, etc.) to drive the highest business and individual value. Modifies leadership development training materials including components such as workshops, group discussions, and action learning projects, etc. based on feedback and continuous improvement. Develops and modifies communications, facilitator guides, participant guides, PowerPoint decks and job aids to support the learning courses. Conducts pilot tests for courses and revises program based on feedback.
Project Management: Works on multiple, small scale, low complexity training projects concurrently under the supervision of the L&D Manager, including department communications, training calendar, vendor coordination and Learning Management System process. Ensures project tasks are completed according to agreed-upon deadlines and expectations. Effectively manages time and competing priorities to complete assignments. Ensures clear communication within projects to achieve goals. As needed, manages third-party training providers. Manages and completes a process to measure and communicate program effectiveness.
Relationship Management: Collaborates and communicates effectively with key employees and leaders to assess, execute, and support leadership development needs within the business.
PREFERRED: Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP), Instructional Design Certification, Training Certification (Development Dimensions International, Inc., Situational Leadership II, Insights Discovery, Crucial Conversations/Accountability, Prosci, InsideOut Coaching, etc.), International Coach Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) or higher, Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP)
Degree: High School Diploma
PREFERRED Degree: Bachelor’s Degree
Field of Study: Industrial/Organization (IO) Psychology, Organizational Development (OD), Organizational Effectiveness (OE), Human Resources, or related field
REQUIRED: 2-4 years of experience in a leadership development facilitator role or similar, experience in training, facilitation and coaching in a corporate learning environment.
PREFERRED: Experience working in a global organization. Experience training mid-to-senior level managers. People management experience.
REQUIRED: Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc. Experience with Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning.
Project Management: Is well-organized and able to lead projects from conception to close. Possesses basic project management skills including planning, scope/budget/time/resource management, etc. Is able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workloads to meet competing deadlines, and make appropriate decisions regarding relative cost and benefit of potential actions.
Leadership Development/Facilitation: Has a knowledge of adult learning methods and behaviors. Has experience delivering and facilitating content in person as well as virtually to both employees and managers. Is a strong, independent self-starter with demonstrated strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution.
Relationship Management: Has developed business acumen and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure effective identification of needs. Negotiates well in difficult situations, with a sensitivity to cultural and regional differences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
