About the Job

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program Manager is responsible for promoting a culture of risk by executing the Company's risk management strategy, facilitating the continuous enhancement of the Encore Enterprise Risk Management Framework and related governance programs to enable business lines to manage risks impacting their organization. The primary responsibilities of this role include strategic management and effective operational coordination of the Risk Management Framework, including managing the processes relating to risk appetite, identification, assessment, evaluation, response, reporting and monitoring,  and assisting in the implementation of enterprise-wide GRC tools (i.e. AuditBoard). The Manager is also responsible for the production and aggregation of the quarterly Board Risk Committee materials, including working with relevant senior stakeholders of other subsidiaries to drive consistent reporting and messaging.

This role requires sound risk and control skills to assist in identifying, establishing, and executing against risk-related priorities.  A successful candidate will possess excellent project management capabilities, demonstrate the ability to manage cross-functional projects, facilitate meetings, develop and present materials to Risk Management Leadership and have strong written and oral communication skills. This role reports into the Head of Enterprise Risk Management. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage enabling technology for the ERM Function, which includes all elements of implementation, adoption, training, and on-going enhancements of the enterprise-wide GRC tool and creation of a centralized intranet site
  • Assist in the continuous enhancement of the Global Enterprise Risk Framework, including elevating ERM branding, communication, training and related governance programs to enable business lines to manage risks impacting all levels of the organization
  • Lead the aggregation, production and coordination of the quarterly Encore Risk Committee reporting materials, including producing dashboard reporting
  • Manages the planning, execution, reporting, and if necessary, remediation of enterprise risk and engagements as instructed by Senior Management to identify, analyze, mitigate, and report on the risks of the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals and objectives
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:  Bachelor's                 

FIELD OF STUDY:  Accounting or Business

EXPERIENCE:  5 + years of relevant business experience executing, developing, or supporting the enhancement of a Risk or Compliance Management Program or IT project management

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER ATTRIBUTES:

  • Working knowledge of risk management framework components, the relationship between risks and controls, the three lines of defense model and how the second line fits into the overall model
  • Project management skills, including implementation of technology tools
  • Advanced PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook skills required
  • Be able to aggregate, synthesize, and filter information from various stakeholders into high level reporting for senior management; ability to juggle multiple projects and manage time effectively and independently.
  • Ability to partner with all levels of the business to execute on risk management priorities
  • Other attributes sought include the ability to think outside the box, question and challenge status quo and make recommendations for improvements

Starting Compensation

Annual Salary: $79,700.00 + (Amount based on office location, relevant experience, skills, and competencies)
